Originally from the beautiful Central American country of El Salvador, I have dedicated over 20 years to the field of education, with a passion for teaching and empowering young learners. I began my teaching career at a private school in El Salvador, where I worked for more than 12 years, teaching students from preschool through second grade. I earned my bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and Higher Education from La Universidad Francisco Gavidia.
In 2004, I moved to the United States and began teaching Spanish in New Orleans Public Schools. The following year, I made my way to Denver, where I was fortunate to join the Munroe Elementary family. Over the past 18 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a vibrant, bilingual community that I hold close to my heart.
When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my wonderful husband, Oscar, our two beautiful daughters, María and Fátima, and our two dogs, Luna and Fluffy. I also enjoy exploring the Colorado mountains, visiting the beaches of El Salvador, and indulging in some fresh seafood.
My goal as an educator is to create a safe, welcoming environment where my students and their families feel valued. I strive to be a teacher who not only nurtures academic growth but also fosters a sense of belonging and support for all my Kindergarten students, helping them develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed.
