Proud to call Munroe her second home, Ms. Santiago has been a bilingual Special Education teacher for the past 25 years. Ms. Santiago is a firm believer that love, respect, empathy, and discipline are essential for her students to have meaningful learning experiences. Additionally, she considers that the sense of community that Munroe instils and facilitates builds long-lasting collaboration ties with families and students. Ms. Santiago goes above and beyond so that her students and families feel valued and appreciated, celebrating a culturally diverse and inclusive environment, enriching learning experiences for everyone in our Munroe family.
Committed to academic excellence and continuous education, Ms. Santiago possesses Post-doctoral studies in Higher Education Administration, a Doctorate in Special Education, and Master’s in Business Administration and Education. In her free time, she enjoys music, going out to eat, cooking, recreational and cultural travel, watching shows, and spending time with her loved ones. Furthermore, she is an avid advocate of animal rights and leads efforts for neutering and spaying street cats in Puerto Rico.
