Ms.Maruca is an ECE Educator and Denver Native, who has been working in DPS for the last 7 years at Munroe Elementary. She is a DPS alum and holds a Bachelors degree in Human Development with a licensure in Early Childhood Education from Metropolitan State University. Prior to teaching at Munroe, she worked as The Director of Education at Museo de las Americas. This is where her passion for culture, education, art, equity and community all began.
Using passion as her guide, she now aims to create a safe welcoming environment, where the youngest students at Munroe can explore their interests and follow their own unique curiosities. She believes that all students deserve to have access to a quality education, where they can flourish and find joy in learning.
When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and dog. She also enjoys being outdoors, going to the movies, gardening, reading, cooking and seeing live music.
